A tree stump is a small portion of a tree trunk with the roots still on the ground after it has been cut and felled. Not only are tree stumps difficult to remove but also are unpleasant sight. In removing tree stumps there are several methods that can be done such as digging out, shredding with a grinder and burning. By using the shredding process there are other equipment’s’ that can be used hand in hand with the grinder such as shovel, mattock, chainsaw and a rake. The mattock or shovel is used to clear the rocks around the tree stump. After which the chainsaw gets into action and cuts as much of the tree stump as possible. The tree stump removal by use of a grinder begins with clearing of rocks by use of a shovel, then size reduction by use of a tree stump and finally use of a grinder to completely remove the tree stump.

However there is an additional method that can be done in tree stump removal which is rotting. The process of rotting includes drilling a hole on the stump about ten inch deep. Nitrogen is the gas component that is used to fill the hole of the tree stump. Water is then poured to the drilled hole and then chipping follows suits as the stump softens.
